[ Ryuichi is bored and Tohma-less. He could go do something productive, like build a new hospital or play poker with the boys, but instead, Ryuichi has decided to sing a couple songs. For your listening pleasure, the first song is Predilection and the second one is Gather Roses. When he gets done singing both songs, Ryuichi, looks at the communicator and sticks his tongue out. ]

What I wrote? Well....

[ He's glancing to the bedside table now where eighteen or so origami swans are sitting. There's staffs and music notes visible on them. ]

We'd have to unfold them.

Ooh.

[ Carefully, he picks up one and starts to pull it apart. ]

I figured it was a creative way to keep track of how many days I've been in the hospital. There's one song on each swan, but they're not in any particular order so it's almost like a game.

It's a really cool idea. I wish I could fold this good.

[ His tongue sticking out a little, he worked the folds away, opening it slowly. ]

Well... [ He laughs just a bit. ]

That's the only thing I can make. I can't make different types of birds or flowers like others can.

[ This swan in particular has quite a lengthy song on it. Tohma had to write it smaller so it would all fit. There are some lyrics on the page as well. Pretty good, but not excellent. ]

I can only make paper airplanes!

[ Once he had it unfolded, Ryuichi smoothed it out on the mattress, humming the melody. ]

[ This face is just the slightest bit ditzy looking. ]

A little. They're far from perfect, but I was wondering if you could work with them.

Only as long as you don't bend them too badly.

[ Tapping his fingers against his leg, Ryuichi nods. ]

I think so...

Being gentle with an airplane, even though it's made of paper, sounds a little strange; but you're right. I suppose you could just use heavier paper... but then it wouldn't fly as easily.

[ Ah, good. He's smiling, glad his lyrics aren't too bad. ]

I'm glad! All they need is some touching up for you and then we can play it together later on.

No. It doesn't fly at all unless you get those really cool wooden ones with the rubber bands.

[ Impishly Ryuichi leaned up, kissing Tohma's cheek even though he knows the dangers. ]

There. Now you're sparkling shine-shiny.

I've never played with a wooden one before. Do they really fly far?

[ He's still smiling, hoping that the kiss to his cheek wasn't too dangerous. ]

It's easy to shine when I'm around you. Your beacon of light illuminates all of Nittle Grasper as well as our audience.

Well, you've gotta be really careful to not break the rubber band...

[ He just shakes his head, smiling a little. ]

Tohma you shine all on your own.

[ He's nodding like wooden airplanes are serious business, but that smile is still on his face. ]

Maybe so, but you sure make the job a lot easier.

[ Wooden airplanes are very serious Tohma! ]

I guess I must sparkle a lot then?

[ VERY SERIOUS! ]

Of course you do~ I know you already knew that. [ Prodding Ryuichi in the cheek gently. ]

[ AS SERIOUS A SERIOUS THING CAN GET! ]

Who me? [ He giggles anyways. ]

[ He looks a bit exasperated, but in a good way. ]

Hey... Ryuichi? Would you like to spend the night here?

[ He just blinks for a moment or two, eyes wide and his mouth forming a small 'oh' of surprise. ]

I guess I can... But are you sure?

I've been having trouble sleeping well completely alone. The medicine does knock me out eventually, but....

[ He laughs a little and shakes his head. ]

But it's not a very comfortable sleep.

Okay... I'll do it then.

A-Ah. Really? You will~?

Why shouldn't I? You're lonely and Mika's staying away and I'm really sad without seeing you all the time.

Mm! We can make a party of it. I still have some snacks that we can share, you know. I assume you've eaten all of the candy you got for your birthday?

I ate it all... Sorry Tohma. But we can have some fun cuz I did bring some stuff from work.

[ And he pulls out a squishy cake from the cafe - one of those tiny ones with the glaze. ]

You were... supposed to eat it all. It was your candy, Ryuichi.

[ He points to the far side of the room. ]

Suguru-kun keeps bringing me sweets, so I've been eating those. It's okay if you want to eat that cake, Ryuichi.
