16... so they say
[ voice | English ]
I guess what they say is true. Talent can be found in the weirdest places. Thanks again everyone that came to our little talent search. If anyone is still interested in joining us, please inform myself or Tohma about your interest. We're still on the look out for people who can manage those with more talent than common sense. Because rock and rollers don't always know what's best for them, and managers do! Even if it includes getting the star up at five in the morning using a bazooka smack to the head!
So anyways, if you need a listening to or a showing off, just leave one of us a message, and we'll arrange a face-to-face cuz those work better than over the communicator thing. Also! Newly arrived and still a performer of some kind? Give me a jingle here and I'll get Tohma involved.
Thanks for listening!

Yet.

It seems he lacks commitment... so perhaps that is the issue. He has an on-again-off-again relationship with Eiri-san, as well as with his band. He's threatened to leave Bad Luck... Three times, was it?
no subject
I think he just needs a steadier relationship with both the music and his life. Maybe if he can get a handle on both, he will shine like he's suppose to.
no subject
I think what happened is he's fallen off the fence of love and music onto the side of love.
no subject
It's annoying. If one fuels the other, then he should have them equally strong.
no subject
You're right; that kind of balance is possible, albeit not easily achievable.
no subject
Which is why I never tried something like that.
no subject
It's perfectly fine if you choose one over the other. However, it's pathetic to say you love both equally when you don't act like it at all.

Agreed.

I really did go easy on them, didn't I?

[Steepling his fingers as he ponders what made him go so easy on Shuichi.]
Well, we certainly matured to be a legendary band in the end, didn't we?
no subject
That we did. I'm still surprised no one tracked down those old records.
no subject
Perhaps no one bothered to look for those old records because they were simply afraid of the consequences. I don't see why they would be so afraid of doing it, though.

I have nothing to hide. Not even that time with the odd backstage party that we needed a riot control to come in and clear it out.
no subject
I know you have nothing to hide, Ryuichi. Neither does Noriko. I certainly have nothing to hide, either. It would simply be troublesome if people tried to dig up old information, both for us and for them.

[ Smiles and leans forward, very lightly tapping the corner of his mouth. ]
Who would have ever guessed we would hold so much power like we do now.
no subject
Mm. Yes, who would have thought? It certainly took a lot of work, though. And, it's a nice feeling knowing we'll never have to be an opening act again. I think those days were the most embarrassing of my life.
I think we had Japan--and you had America--wrapped around our little fingers so easily because they were addicted to you, Noriko, and myself.
no subject
[ Laughs because even he knows it's not that. ]
Hard work pays off in the end. Hard work and the balls to grab what we wanted. Yes, we are an addiction and I can't say that we would ever find a day when we will go back to an opening act.
It's right where they need to be.

["Thoughtfully"] We probably would never have been half as popular if Kumagoro were, say, a brown bunny, or a white bunny with a black spot on its eye.
If the day comes where we're forced to play as an opening act again, I think I'll just put my synthesizer in the closet and never look back. I don't ever want to be that bad.
It is where they need to be. ♥

[ Shakes his head nad very carefully licks Tohma's nose. ]
We won't. We never will.
