[ Ryuichi is bored and Tohma-less. He could go do something productive, like build a new hospital or play poker with the boys, but instead, Ryuichi has decided to sing a couple songs. For your listening pleasure, the first song is Predilection and the second one is Gather Roses. When he gets done singing both songs, Ryuichi, looks at the communicator and sticks his tongue out. ]

[ Sighs and snuggles a little closer, letting his eyes close. He always had a thing for touching and holding, but he was growing far too use to Tohma to want to let it go. ]

All right; I'm fine with that. Besides, I'm more than happy enough that I've gotten to see you in person again.

[ He hesitates a bit, debating whether or not it's safe to place a kiss at the top of Ryuichi's head. Eventually, he decides against it. ]

My days just aren't as bright without you here.

I've missed you. It doesn't feel the same without you tagging along to the cafe.

[ He curls his fingers in Tohma's shirt, humming to himself .]

Has Mika visit you?

Going to the café with you was always fun. We should make it one of the first things we do when I'm released from the hospital.

No, she hasn't.... But I've spoken to her a few times and I've seen her with the communicator. It's not the same as talking in person, but....

[ Tohma starts to play with Ryuichi's hair again, remembering how Eiri promised he would visit but never showed up last time. ]

It's better that she doesn't. It's safer at the apartment, and after what happened before, I don't trust her to go anywhere alone. Besides, I'm not even sure she wants to visit me. She seems... upset about something.

That would be awesome.

[ He's quiet for a moment, just letting Tohma play with his hair. But then he sighs and opens his eyes, turning his head to look at him. ]

I have a good idea what it might be. And I also think that maybe she should see you too.

[ He has just a small smile on his face now. ]

Maybe you could bring her to the hospital in a few days if she's up for it. But... If you know why she's angry, is it because of something I did? Sometimes I don't know her at all, so....

I don't think she wants to be anywhere near me, Tohma.

She knew exactly the kind of person I was when she married me. I don't... understand why she would change her mind. I haven't changed since then.

[ Pulling Ryuichi into a tight hug. ]

As I've said before, she should be grateful. You've provided shelter for us without asking anything in return. If she's angry because of the things you and I have done, then perhaps I will remind her of the boytoys she used to bring to the bars.

I don't know if it's place or what, but she's been rather touchy lately.

[ He hugs Tohma back, making a little whine in his throat at how much he missed this contact. It's not the same as being in the U.S.A. while Tohma was in Japan. They weren't separated by an ocean and different lives. ]

Maybe she needs something like that here.

Perhaps... But as I said, she's difficult to get to know. If she would just tell me what she wanted, things would be easier.

She probably figures that she did and hasn't figured out that we men need simple, bite-sized words to understand.

[ Curling a bit of Ryuichi's hair around his index finger. ]

Maybe she'll figure it out before she starts screaming over the communicators.

[ Making a face he cracks an eye open. ]

[ Well, it's okay~ Ruffling Ryuichi's hair still. ]

I kind of like this shaggy look on you.

We can ask her if she's PMSing!

[ Laughs and ruffles Tohma's hair. ]

I miss your blond tips.

Do you want to be punched in the face? Because I don't. That's not the kind of question you ask a woman without expecting painful consequences.

[ Regarding him suspiciously. ]

I miss it being all blond. I think I just may ask the scientists for some hair dye.

I'll just hide behind you!

[ Gives him an innocent as all hell look, even to the point of sticking out his lower lip a little. ]

Are you sure you want to try that? You might get pink hair dye or something like that.

Why don't you hide behind Kumagoro-san? He's soft; he'll protect you.

[ Er, yeah. Not buying that look, Ryuichi. Not for a second. ]

They've given me what I wanted before. If I ask for pink hair dye instead, they might just give it to me. But... I think I'd take just about anything over pink.

But then she'll break open all his stitches!

[ Pouts a bit more before sighing and stretching out. ]

You'll look weird as a redhead.

...That's true.

I don't think red would be so bad, though. Something lighter... that's what I want. Just... not pink.

Red would make your cheeks look like you had too much to drink and then you'll really look like a kid.
