So, I've heard there was some kind of band around here, although it's missing its key ingredient. And then the whole chorus thing was okay, but man, I guess it's not my thing, you know? I'd quit that scene ages ago after we'd gone triple platinum.

Anyways, I was wondering what do other people do in this place besides running around crying about monsters and no food and no lights and stuff? How many people are in a band? Are there doctors and repairman here? And why do I think this is a crappy episode of Gillian's Island?

Oh my, that's nice of you. I wonder... did you ever consider combining your rolling rock music with a choir? From the way you described it, it sounds like a style of music flexible enough for that kind of experimentation.

Nope, I never thought of it, although I have done some stuff in musicals.

It's sort of like opera in that you've got music and a story and people sing on stage, but it's more like a play that is sung instead of spoken.

Music is a hard thing to explain it seems. I guess I'll have to hear it for myself.

Opera is classical stuff without a lot of dancing or talking or much going on but singing. Musical has all sorts of things going on plus the music.

I always thought there was more to opera than that... a man in the village had one of those phonograph devices which played music and recording of an opera. It sounded really intense.

Well, if you're joining a band, I'll definitely come see your performances!
